Einstein giving a lecture in 1921. His theory of relativity shed light on the inseparability of space and time. This shift in thinking is monumental and is responsible for a lot of the technologies we enjoy today. Einstein's ideas have led to the creation of GPS, lasers, photoelectric cells (solar panels for example), and even financial markets have been modeled using his fluctuation-dissipation theorem.
The formula that I chose to use on the board is from a blackboard in the science museum of Oxford. A student preserved the board after Einstein gave a lecture on relativistic cosmology.
